Family Recipe and Name Cutting Boards

A family recipe cutting board is a maple or walnut board engraved with a recipe, a family name or each child's birth flower. We make them to order in Pryor, Oklahoma, with 3-5 business days to engrave and ship.

Three boards live here. The Family Recipe Cutting Board engraves a recipe with a title and a sign-off in script. The Mom's Kitchen Birth Flower Board reads 'Everything is better in Mom's Kitchen' with a birth flower, name and year for each child. The Script Names and Year Cutting Board is the plainest of the three, two first names in one line of script with a small 'est.' year.

A recipe board often ends up as a display piece near the stove, on a stand, while a names board can take daily use. If the recipe has sentimental value, photograph the original card before you type it so nothing gets lost in transcription. Hand wash either one and oil it when the wood looks dry.

Questions we get

Should I cut on a recipe board or display it?

Either works. Displaying it on a stand keeps the recipe easy to read and away from knife marks.

Whose recipe should go on the board?

The one the family asks for most, written the way the person who made it wrote it.
