Questions we get

How do I order a personalized item?

Pick a design, choose the size or set and the wood, then fill in the personalization fields on the product page: names, a date, a family name, or a logo upload on logo designs. Add it to your cart and check out. Our designer takes it from there.

Do I get a proof before it is engraved?

On logo and custom-artwork orders, yes: we email a free digital proof and engrave after you approve it. Names, dates and wording on our designs are engraved exactly as you type them, with no proof step, so check every letter and number before you check out.

Can I change my order after I place it?

Message us as soon as you can, before we engrave, and we will do what we can. If it has not gone on the laser yet, spelling changes are easy. Once a piece has been engraved, the wood cannot be un-engraved.

How long does it take?

Everything is made to order in 3-5 business days, then it ships. Shipping time is added on top and depends on the option you choose at checkout.

Can I get it faster?

A rush option exists. Ask us about rush before you order and tell us the date you need it by, so we can tell you honestly whether it can be done.

What are the boards made of?

Each board is one solid slab of maple or walnut. Maple is light, hard and tight-grained. Walnut is dark brown, a little softer, and shows fewer knife marks and stains.

What sizes do the boards come in?

8x12 and 10x14 inches at 0.75 inch thick, 12x16 inches at 1.5 inches thick, and a 16x24 inch walnut board at 1.5 inches thick. Add-ons include a display stand, conditioning oil, a handwritten card and paper gift wrap.

How do I take care of an engraved board?

Hand wash it, dry it right away, and stand it on edge to finish drying. Never soak it or put it in the dishwasher. Oil it when it starts to look dry. Our care page has the details.

What are the wine glasses like?

They are 21 oz stemless wine glasses, laser engraved, sold single or in sets of 2, 4 or 8. The etching is permanent in the glass. We suggest hand washing.

What sets do the ornaments and coasters come in?

Ornaments come single or in sets of 2, 5 or 10. Coasters come in maple or walnut in sets of 2, 4, 8 or 16, and you can add a matching small or medium board.

What size guest book sign do I need?

Match it to your guest count: 20 in for 30-45 guests, 24 in for 45-55, 27.5 in for 55-70, 30 in for 65-85, 36 in for 90-110, 42 in for 125-175 and 48 in for 200-250. Finishes are natural, stained, painted black and painted white.

Can you engrave my company logo?

Yes, on our logo designs. Upload the file on the product page. A vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) is best; a high-resolution PNG or JPG works too. You will see it placed on your proof.

Can I return a personalized item?

Personalized items are made for you, with your names or logo on them, so we cannot resell them. If something is wrong on our end, like an engraving that does not match what you typed or your approved proof, or damage in shipping, tell us and we will fix it.

Do you take larger or recurring orders?

Yes. Ask us about larger orders through the contact page. Real estate agents can also use our realtor site, foreverclientgifts.com.
